The answers given are very well explained.
To understand this problem, it is necessary to accept the following situation. The Foodoma system sees delivery people as self-employed. This business model is not easily applicable everywhere. For example, I am a startup company. I set up my system with Foodoma. Finding a supplier and including it in the system is a very difficult and costly task for me. It may seem easy, but it is a very difficult operation. It takes money and manpower.
That's why we want restaurants to deliver with their own deliverers. Two problems arise when they use their own deliverers.
Problem 1 - The restaurant cannot add its own delivery person to the system
Restaurant: Unable to define its own deliverers in the system. He cannot follow them.
Customer: Can't find out that the order is on its way. He can't find out where the delivery man is.
Me/ Admin: I can't find out if the order has been delivered. Therefore, for every order that comes to the system, I have to intervene in the DB and finalize the order.
I've seen a plugin that fixes this shortcoming of Foodoma. It was also posted on this forum. This should be a standard feature.
Problem 2 - The minimum order placed remotely creates a loss for the restaurant, not a gain.
All competitor systems in Turkey determine the minimum order amount according to the region. On the other hand, when I say that Foodoma does not have such a feature, they do not want to work with me. When an order comes from a place that is within the service area but far away, they calculate time/savings. Although it saves on the delivery fee, it loses time. That's why they prefer to use my system for delivery only to nearby locations. Or they don't want to work with me. This is a really big problem.
Sample; short distance order takes $10 and delivery takes 10 minutes maximum. When a $10 order is received from a long distance, the delivery person is blocked for 30-60 minutes, even if the delivery fee is charged. The restaurant owner does not accept this either.
