--> It means that everyone here will be charged 1% even without joining the new platform (saas)??

Saurabh Why you are going to charge client that bought your product under other offer? This 1% fee should be just for new clients.
This is going to destroy my business plan and I believe would impact other business. Since i am going to offer a no comission plan as option there is no way to pay for every order. I could understand if this 1% could be charged when a payment Gateaway such as paypal is used. But charging 1% for every order even offline payment for clients that bought your product under a diferente condition is unfair.

JusanSG 1% is only charged on the new platform. You can continue using the old foodomaa.

Only when you migrate to the new platform, you will be paying 1% of the order value.

This should not be confusing.

You have to options, keep using old foodomaa as it is but 3.5 will be last version. No new future updates.
Or move to saas and pay 1% for each completed order.

I understand that you will not be producing new versions for customers who want to continue with version 3.5. But if an unidentified bug or vulnerability is detected in version 3.5, will the update not be made? Updates should be made for problems that may arise in the current system. Your company may have prepared a new roadmap. I respect your decisions, but we have made our business plans based on your decisions so far. Of course, it is not possible for us to adapt to your company's decisions immediately. I hope you will do support and critical package update for v.3.5.

Saurabh I respect your transition to the Saas model, but the reason I chose you was because I could run your system on our own servers. I'm sure you have other customers like me. We have many reasons not to choose Saas. For example GDPR laws etc. As time progresses, version 3.5 will be insufficient and we will have to switch to different systems. Foodoma is a much more successful system than you think and we want to continue running it on our own servers with new features in the future. For customers who do not have the knowledge to manage their own server, the SaaS model is a good option. But think about your customers, like us, who are technically savvy. We made investments for infrastructure works. Very sad to learn that there will be no post 3.5 update. Consider us too. I think it would be more accurate to continue the existing system and offer optional SaaS service.

ErhanK currently we donot have bandwidth to maintain both.

Maintaining the current Foodomaa is a headache, not because of development works, but because of unnecessary support trouble we go through.
90% of our resources (mostly time) are wasted on providing support. And just 10% in development.

We will be reversing this with the new platform.

You might be tech savvy and might configure many things on your own, but there majority of our users donot understand any tech related stuff. They screw up the server configs or application configs and we are stuck fixing their issues.
That's not a production job. And honestly thats not what we want to do!!!

We know the value we have created with our product and hence switching to a saas platform is a viable option for us as we grow.

Feel free to use the current system but there will be many who will be migrating to the new platform when they realise the value that it offers.

We will not be releasing any updates and not be continuing with the current Foodomaa version, that's the hard decision we had to make to progress further.
(This decission was taken 1 year back, but now we are acting on it as we donot want to wait any longer)

I hope you will understand this.

(Same kind of discussion went through the last time when we had similar dilemma wheather or not to switch to saas. We procrastinated and the whole project was in halt. Now we have even removed Foodomaa from CodeCanyon and just surviving currently on our savings for last two months.
There is no going back. The new platform is inevitable.)
