  • Core changes in the Addons - now called Attributes (Announcement #4)

In the old platform, creating and managing Addons/Addon Categories is a nightmare.
If each item has an addon/varients with a different price, then we had to create a separate Addon Category and add new addons to it.
And then this new addon category needed to be linked to the Item.
And let's suppose the restaurant ran out of a particular addon and wants to disable that, they had to find the addon category first, then select the addon and then Delete it. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Solving this issue in the new platform.
You just need to create generic Item Attributes for your restaurants.

Example:

In the above screenshot, you can see the Item Attribute "Toppings" is created for the restaurant "KFC"
And added a few add-ons, which now don't require the price tag to be filled.

So, now the same addon can have different prices for different items, and one item's addon price, enable, or disable won't affect the other item with the same addon.

      Saurabh Sorry, I saw the post at 1 AM in my smartphone without my glasses :-)
      Now I saw the video in my notebook and everything is clearly understood. What about some function to bulk edit prices avoiding entering each product just to edit the price?, that is a nightmare, too.

      Just a suggestion,

      Edit order is also needed, sometimes vendor item stock suddenly goes to zero and customers request us to deliver the rest of the items. Your given module is helping but canceling the order and re-ordering on behalf of the customer makes some misunderstanding to the customer as the customer got notification of order cancelation, it also increases our manual work because it takes lots of our manual effort and time, which also increase the chance of human error in the new order.

        Saurabh I noticed that the sorting of Variants when you add them on an item is based on time they are created not according to time they are added for each item. If you created Variant "SIZE" today and variant "TOPPINGS" tomorrow, SIZE will always be on top whether you put Toppings first or other first. The earliest created will always be on top. Can you please make it arranged according to when they are added on item itself?

          FezanAsif we might be able to look into that in the future, cannot add to the Roadmap as of now because the backlog is completely filled for this year.

          Store owner can manage addons from the store owner app??

            RohanGaurat they can manage add-ons on the item if the add-ons are already created. Add-ons have a completely different structure in the new platform.

            Yvonne Hello @Saurabh has this been fixed already? Store owners are having diffuclty arranging variants, they find it confusing and time consuming. Thanks

              Yvonne varients sorting is not something that is completed yet.
