Saurabh kindly, when will you start working on WhatsApp Notification for Orders and OTP?? i feel this feature is badly needed for deliverability of notifications. right now, there are challenges i have noticed with notifications for rider, store owner and customer, sometimes no notification on the apps, but if whatsapp is integrated, customers will always be in the know of the order status. same as store owners as everyone virtually is on whatsapp
Tex100 the pricing plan for WhatsApp API is confusing, can you forward me in the correct direction?
Do you have any leads on how much will the WhatsApp APIs call cost?
I guess there are different fees for User initiated and Business initiated conversions. When we do the integration, all the communication will be Business Initiated Conversations.
And you will probably need an WhatsApp Business API account. And these accounts are provided by 3rd parties and not WhatsApp directly. And they will have different cost monthly as well as per conversation basis.
If you have ideas for these, let me know.

Found that instead of going with a 3rd party to get the WhatsApp Business API, one can create a WhatsApp Cloud API directly with Facebook (Meta)

Conversation are valid for 24hrs, so multiple messages sent to the same number should only account for 0.48rs in total for that time period. (I Guess, will need to confirm this)

Yes, there needs to be a fallback method where the OTP will be sent to the phone number as well.
WhatsApp might give a response that the phone number doesn't exists on WhatsApp and we can try to send the OTP via SMS, but what if the number is registered on WhatsApp but is not active on the customers phone.
My suggestion will be to not to use this for OTPs.
And only use this for Notification/Marketing purpose. (For customer, Store owners, delivery guys)
But all upto your business.

Saurabh Hi Saurabh, I hope your team is doing well.. will this still be added? Also one more useful for operators is in "Users" menu, last order date, and custom user tags would be useful for us for remarketing and customer segments.
This could be added as well in Customer Performance Report, (and this report can be improved by letting us export all pages at once, right now we have to go page by page and doesnt make any sense for now)

New orders on the "Orders" page will be tagged with the "First Order" badge for all future customers of your business.
This badge will also be visible on the "View Order" page.
