Multi Currency support

Some of us are ready to scale or might have an opportunity in foreign countries and other like me live in country where people use 2 currencies ( USD & CDF )

Hi Ventis,

So you are saying that in the same country multiple currencies are being used?
Let's discuss some scenarios first.

If you intend to use USD and CDF to accept the payment, which payment gateway provider will you use?
When you upload an item with a price let's say 10, will you be using USD or CDF?
When user users see the item, which currency will they see? USD or CDF?
Can the user choose their currency and based on the currency the calculations will be made?
(Example: 1USD = 1.2CDF, then if an Item is of 10USD, the item will become 12CDF automatically)

Foodomaa is not built for multi-countries or multi-currency business and we do not intend to go in that way for at least a year more. But we can surely discuss and try to come up with a solution.

Saurabh I think this will be an awesome addition so depending on location customer can have choice to choose currency. just like language.

I understand your point of not being able to go borderless for now but choosing currency/language is really a fundamental function in a website espacialy when it made for sales. You know in big cities people come from everywhere and sometime they dont get local currencies and they need international reference like USD/EUR

Im in central Africa conventional payment gateway doesnt work here we do have Mobile Money gateway PVIT(XAF) or Flash(CDF)
Need to be in local currency mean (CDF/XAF)
They need to choose preference currency in settings which means a conversion from local to USD based on exchange rate that can be set manually or automatically by the Admin

foodofreak sorry not on the roadmap, we have not thought about this. Won't be on the roadmap for 2022, as this use case doesn't serve majority of our customers.
