This is the result without CSS

Before when deactivating the switch, the slider was deactivated
And now it shows as tiles, that's the error

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but here it says "Recommended item slider" not "Recommended item tiles" lol

And still it would be weird, because when it is off, the mosaic is activated

The settings name is "Recommend Item Slider"
In your case that is turned off, and hence you see a Grid view of Recommended Items.

If you turn On "Recommend Item Slider" it will be horizontally scrollable.

This has been the default behaviour since like a year.

The thing that was fixed in 2.8.0 was the breaking of layout on Grid view which seems to be fixed by the 2nd screenshot you sent.

The idea is to disappear it to optimize the load of the stores
If a business owner marks all their products as featured and has 500 items
You can imagine

With this activated it will load the items twice

VoyagerMarketing bro if you don't want to remove them with css, otherwise put the recommended slider option, and all your recommended ones will come out horizontally.

Saurabh I understand perfectly, but in previous versions when you deactivated the switch, the items disappear it
But don't worry, in fact is not a big problem, just impact a little in the loading times

@Saurabh If there is item with addon & item without addon comes together. then the alignment issue considering UI/UX not corrected. Refer to below screenshots.
Note: No custom CSS active. Before upgrade removed all custom CSS and kept blank.

sachin that happens when you deactivate that the zero price is not visible. you can correct it with css.

Chowuan Yes, but displaying zero price is not correct. It may misguide customers. whether it's active or no it should not break UI.

Chowuan if you have workout the workaround with the css and ready to contribute could you please share so that it may help others as well till it gets resolved on core.
