ventis Well I don't think that will be possible.
You cannot add a new integration yourself. We will have to build that and release it for everyone.
And unless there is a demand and we have a clear understanding of the demand, the integration cannot be built.

Example: We do not support RTL layout, so of course from the Middle East we have the least number of Foodomaa users.
But if someone purchases Foodomaa from the Middle East and asks us to integrate a custom Gateway for them, we cannot do that. We cannot simply push an integration on our roadmap and prioritize it over others.
But if we start getting many customers from the same region asking for similar things, then we will push that on the roadmap.

Saurabh what if I push you the integration because we already did it into EXT version and payment gateway are country based ; if a Foodomaa cloud administrator is based on France(he can also choose to operate in more than one country) then he can only see/activate PSP for that country etc etc

Also we need it to be really borderless language support is okay but currency support remains poor... let people customize currency wether it decimal with , or . or only integer currency symbol left or right etc etc these are really basic to all commerce systems

Hoping your native app will also be a Killer one just like the PWA and completely white label

Yes we will be building all the necessary things that is missing in the current version like customisable time format, customisable currency format etc (atleast that's on our mind, we will have to check the feasibility too)

But we will not be building multi-currency system.

Saurabh piracy happens everywhere, you cannot stop that. Based on my experience, those who want to have their own swiggy kind of stuff, never think about using the cloud version.

1) It happens on every script and people will live with that. For this one reason, people never move to the cloud version.
2) You can ignore them or provide paid tech support for such cases
3) This again happens on every script, you have to concentrate on 2000+ paid users and have to find how to make a recurring revenue.

Obviously, 1-time cost never will be sufficient for development. You have to charge yearly for script as I said previously. But for people who paid for extended, that can be one time. So you will see lots of conversion from regular to extended and then many retaining regular.

And you can offer multiple plugins, multiple themes etc and make money out of it. There are tons of plugins you can do which are missing right now to make or utilize foodoma.

Conversion pixel
POS integration

and many

also you can release single restaurant app for foodoma

I suggest reconsidering before investing time in SaaS as you will not get the return you might be expecting now.

rsidhaarth Are people willing to pay 1500-2000 USD for a year for the product author is building? and with that type of product people will just copy and sell under their name. This is not acceptable for a developer. Foodomaa is way undervalued for the type of structure and support author is providing. Current foodomaa is not capable of adding certain most required features due to rapid development meaning need to built from scratch. And when someone is building from scratch obviously he will protect the script unlike what happened before I guess you don't know the babiato thing.

SaaS is already under development and I can bet people will love it.

As said earlier, I am not expecting anyone to migrate to the Cloud.
Again, one will only migrate when one sees the advantage. Advantages can only be seen when the Cloud version is released. There's no point in an argument.

Easier said than done. We have seen cases where the Foodomaa customer doesn't even have an active support package, we tell them to renew their support, and they give a bad review!

Are you a developer or a business person?
If you were a developer, you would have understood the passion for building something great. That's what we are aiming for 🙂
(No offense if you are yourself a developer - you will have to understand the sentiment behind this not the monetary value it brings)

@NikhilJain As per the current sales figure which is 2000+ sales at 99USD, it is roughly 14,850,000rs per year if they plan to do it on a yearly basis. And I am sure it keeps increasing as the day goes.

Even if Foodoma has a team of 10 people, they can pay 14L per annum and keep making the product better and make a huge profit out of it.

Do note that, I own more than 50+ scripts and I do own many extended licenses. So I know what I am talking and also, I am very much aware of the nulled product.

I am sure they will be coming back to standalone after giving a try with SaaS as most people who says they need SaaS never ever look into it as soon the pricing is released and there are lots of operational difficulties which will make the team to keep the pricing huge considering the effort to develop, server to maintain and many others.

rsidhaarth Get out of the CodeCanyon EcoSystem and see the world for yourself, you will find why the SaaS model succeeds. Ever heard about Shopify?

Again, it's not about the money, don't put a monetary value on a brand.

It's clear that you will not be on board with SaaS, and we do not have a problem with it, but please stop convincing us not to do it (just because you want control of the code) It's of no use.

Even if we fail miserably at SaaS we are going to build it and release it!!!
