Making selection of 'Time Slot' mandatory on CART page

If time slot is not selected, user should not be able to proceed to pay or "Please select time slot" or some note can be shown. Similar to how address field can also be set mandatory.

Majority of users go straight to proceed to payment page. Even though time slot selection functionality is there.. and it's EXTREMELY GOOD, it's not being used by users.

Can anything be done about this?

roaringcat Not agreed, should be an option. Because 90% of user order ASAP. And not everyone wants to deal with this.

roaringcat tusHedel I have already suggested this in the update suggestions.

When the module is activated the first available schedule would be called "as soon as possible" or something like that.

Because the current problem is that some restaurants want to know in advance the orders to prepare the menus.

Until then no problem we can define a schedule for example 2 hours in advance.

EXCEPT that the user can choose a time 2h in advance OR order right away without choosing a time and that's the problem

Or why not, an option for the store owner on the dashboard to allow or not the order without choosing a schedule

But this is a detail and I think that the change will not be for now (or maybe never lol) the current module is really very good overall

danoki This minor addition will help quite a lot.

For now trying to get this work with js: If selected time slot is 'empty', then on clicking 'Proceed to Payment'(Label can be modified to suitable one..), scheduling popup will trigger, else payment page as usual. I think this will make sure that time slot gets selected every time
