Not to attack anybody but I see a lot of ridiculous requests to be implemented. If foodomaa isn’t enough for you then you don’t know what you doing or you need to spend 50k do let a company create a system like foodomaa for you

People seems to be assuming we have a magic stick.
Abracadabra and boom the feature is ready.

We also have researched many apps. I myself order food from Swiggy everyday!! So I am fully aware what features they have.

Every business has a different need, we understand that. But Foodomaa is a product not a Service.

A product has some limitations. As we donot provide customisation (neither we will for atleast a year) if you need anything custom made, get the extended licence and developers and get it done. Or you will be losing on business!!!

We have a huge pile of backlogs on the roadmap already which will probably take 1year to complete.
And people keep adding more and more everyday.
(We get about 30 feature requests everyday)

with the present features it enough to run a sucessful business in 3 or 4 states after that go for extended license and develop it acc to ur need nd traffic

EGK Agree, but there is a limit. For many people, this Forum has become a notepad to post ideas.
Great to see people engaging with the platform and Foodomaa but this Forum is for discussion among themselves so they can solve each other issues. (Not only tech issues but business and operational too)

But mostly I see - "Saurabh, add this feature this is needed for my business"

For my part just try add the best process for people to add their own payment gateway regular or extend you choose and most of your problem will be solved other things are just tweaks people ask

All I want is to use the creditcard payment option but payment gateways charges 5%. this charge should be passed to customers. if customers pay via COD option as its understandable not to charge them but if they opt to pay via creditcard they should be charged 5% because we get charged by payment gateways 5%. I know guys it's simple for you just to do that. please please please have that option upon checkout.

mars By following my tutorial you will be able to get the tax for the administrator.

Then use the tax to offset the costs of the payment gateways.

PS: the tax will apply to all payments even for COD.

danoki @Saurabh it helps but payment via COD and Creditcard should differ. COD 0%, credicard 5%. its understandable that COD payments doesn't require us 5%. unlike payment gateways makes a killing, profiting from us 5%

mars You can go to app/Http/Controllers/OrderController.php to remove the tax when paying by COD

Replace this:

Then in the tax translation you can mark something like this to indicate to the user that there will be charges only on the online payment

Ideally the tax should be calculated when selecting the payment method but I need the extended license (hopefully soon 🙂)

You all must know that the foodomaa is sold by some guys like a super app, like a marketplace like amazon or shopee for example. I'm here because of that wrong information. I started a project many years ago and payd a lot of money for developying, but the guys just disappeared. So, we hired a team that supposedly was developing a full delivery app (Zommy that sell cracked foodomaa). We didn't know that behind it was foodomaa. And since then we are trying to make some adaptations so that we can start our work in a small town. We want to sell products in addition to food. We really need to split payments, as it is impossible to manage payments that are not ours.

So, before you come out aggressively and say we're asking for ridiculous things, you should thank us for buying foodomaa. There's a profit in that, right?

How much someone charge to develop the split system? We're willing to pay for a feature on top of an app we've already paid to use. I think it's interesting to have understanding on both sides.

Many vendors here deliver their card machines to couriers, who, in addition to couriers, also play the role of collectors and need to make two runs. They need to return to the store to deliver the cash or card machine.

We only have two options.

Receiving money that is not ours and then having to pass it on at a discounted rate, or COD, which forces the delivery person to make two trips and forces the seller to issue charges manually, which is a burden.

If we had the payment split, this would be resolved and the app would serve many more entrepreneurs who want to generate opportunities for everyone.
