Can Foodomaa be used in the EU?

Hello, considering that the foodomaa system will be used in the EU, are there any disadvantages, obstacles, payment infrastructure, compatibility problems?

I am asking this question because I saw a post by @Saurabh like this :And as said earlier, EU will not be out primary focus, because of many compliance hurdles.
We don't want to spend months in just building the compliance for EU where we could spend the same time in building something great for other countries.

gltkn i am using foodomaa in Italy, but as a Sinlge restaurant. No issue for me because i am using it just to give my clients an option to order food from their smartphones... but I can't say anything if you want to use it as multiple restaurant business..
The comment that u mentioned above is about saas version of Foodomaa which is not in development anymore.

gltkn No problem on my side except for a few details such as the 12h format that we do not use or the fact that the amount is not rounded off

bob_gva Where do you use Foodomaa? I use it in Switzerland too (Jura) 😃

The bigest problem for Europe, is that , foodoma Items are not translatable, so is hard to use it. And VAT is same for all Restaurans and For all items (in Swiss thers diferent VAT for each item), and you not have sub-categories. So you need probably wait some years. The good news is that script is updated arround every one month. The bad is that there is not a lot of modules from others developers for advanced / or custom needs.

bob_gva VAT rates on food and beverages in my country are different. Yeah, I think that's really gonna be a problem. Today I requested a trial license, I will study it in detail. But if there is no different vat rate setting, the big problem from the very beginning is that many people who complain about this situation do not buy foodomaa for these reasons, as far as I have observed. I was planning to get an extended license directly, but I forgot about it(tax things).

danoki I start with Balkan Country's because of translation problem in Swiss. And we are not compliant with law because we can not delete user informations GDPR. gltkn Please do not worry on this thing. We are working on an advance tax system which will be available in 4.0.

gltkn but you can hide vat tax and set the items price with vat tax included. I did same. All the items on my app have vat already included in final price.

[deleted] As I say, I know is big job. In some years foodomaa will be perfect. I'm sure that 1. subactegories 2. items translations 3. GDPR law ( delete order and customers) is very very big job that will take several months.

Seems like EU will use a new law called "ley rider" in the future.

LeSecomandi from what I've researched, I think this is a Spanish law. but it's a really tough law. even companies such as uber eats deliveroo complain about this situation.I have not been able to reach any information that this decision has been made in all of Europe

What data is GDPR data? Can't these be deleted in foodomaa? Is it supposed to be deleted, I don't understand exactly?

gltkn Is big law, to protect customers. Customers must have in the app/website option to delete their data. (close the account). Except financial/transactions data. It should be done directly from the app or sending request to company. So we must have option to download customer data ( like excel). And another option to keep only customer number and anonymized data for 1 year for exemple. check General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Official Legal Text on google. you have a lot of plugins for wordpress woocomerce and others scripts on codecanyon.
