Automatic Store Scheduling gets disabled

Whenever store owner turn off the store manually, automatical scheduling turns off. Let's say one store's scheduling is between 10AM TO 10PM. But due to some reason (which he can't mention as of now but future updates will bring that feature 😂), the person wants to close his store at 6PM today. The problem is the next day, store doesn't turn on until it is turned on manually. What am I missing? Any setting or configuration?

ShauryaSaxena if you have setup automatic store scheduling and today(Wednesday) if you need to close the store at 6pm, you will need to edit the store scheduling time for Wednesday and make the close time as 6pm.

Because of you close manually, it will turn off the automatic scheduling.

Why does it turn off automatic scheduling?
Because if we donot turn it off, the store will reopen at 6:01pm today on Wednesday and remain open till 10pm as the close time is 10pm.

Saurabh we totally understand @Saurabh but here is situation different most of the restaurant don't know how to schedule it, if he need to pause for some time he'll turn off and even admin will not know what're the restaurants are closed /open. So if possible can we add option like if i schedule restaurant 12PM to 9PM but between i manually pause the action however on next day restaurant should automatically turn in live when 12PM come. This will help lot.

alabtechnosoft Maybe you can do a cron job 1x a day (4am) to reactivate all stores on automatic schedule.

alabtechnosoft many challenges with this.
Let's say your restaurant was supposed to open at 10am, but if you open at 9a manually, what would we do then?
How will the system assume what's your intention?

Do you mean changing * * * * * to 0 0 * * *?

danoki the cron job runs every minute and checks for each store status and checks weather it should be tuned On or Off according to the scheduled data that was set. Setting the cronjob to run each day will not solve this issue and the stores open/close will not work on time for obvious reasons.

@danoki @Saurabh @alabtechnosoft I think it's the Foodomaa Core Functioning that it disables Automatic Scheduling once manual closing is triggered. If that isn't coded then as saurabh said the store will reopen at 6:01 (in that example above).

ShauryaSaxena yes, it's coded on Foodomaa to disable automatic scheduling when there is a manual intervention by admin or store owner to open/close the store if automatic scheduling is turned on.

Saurabh I understand what you are saying but I think there can be a simpler solution to this problem. What if there is no opening/closing option (schedule remains same) but only an option to pause (temporary disable) the ordering process with a reason(which I'm sure is coming in future updates 😂) for one hour/two hour/entire day(store owner needs to select this)? And in case anyone wants to operate out of its scheduled timings like u said 9AM, it needs to alert the admin/zone manager. Is that workable?

Saurabh No I was talking about creating a second cron job that will run 1x per day in the database is_schedulable 0 of 1 for the whole column.

If a store closes at 6pm the automatic scheduling will be disabled but will be re-enabled automatically for example every day at 4am.

But this was just an idea for his problem, I find your basic execution more logical too 😄

warn the store that if you turn off the button, it would have to turn on the next day for Store Auto-Scheduling to work

Btw, multi-store selection on Store Partner thing is done.

Saurabh Dude, loving the app but I hope there is an option of custom css already available (make things a lot easier). I'll take care of the rest

Saurabh I have a suggestion for this issue. Will share it tomorrow. It require many changes to core foodomaa, so i am pretty sure it will be very complex. But this will also solve the issue for for food is ready button that many people are asking.

I will share it. Than its up to you if this will be good idea or not.

UPDATE restaurants set is_schedulable = '1' and accept_scheduled_orders = '1'

It will turn on all the restaurants Automatic Scheduling & Order Scheduling [if purchased and enabled] based on the automatic schedule restaurant will TURN ON/OFF. Here most of the restaurants will manually doing even we educate multiple times, bez of this most of the restaurants are not closed properly.
