Like any other application, our delivery application and upcoming store owner application works on the FCM push notification service.
We enquired with Google regarding the delivery time of the Push Notification and they said that the delivery of the message usually happens within seconds, but sometimes it may take hours too.
We realize this is unacceptable for critical notification on delivery and store owner apps where the action needs to be taken within seconds.
We found out that big players like Swiggy and Zomato have created their own Live Socket connection for real-time communication to receive critical push notifications.
And looks like this is the only way to proceed forward by integrating Foodomaa to a 3rd party Socket service.
We are quite certain that these types of live services are not free and will have some monthly charges, we will select the one that is good and cheap. (Charges may be $2/m (around INR 150/m))
We are looking for the best option and we will provide the new app release when it's available.
