Arrange addon order

There should be a way to arrange the order of which addons appear. Currently it's arranged by the time in which it is added/edited which is not very UX friendly.

Ragingmoomoo cannot be done right now as the internal structure of add-ons is not good (same addon/addon category can be assigned to multiple items) so even if we build a system to rearrange the position of add-ons. If you rearrange for one item, another item that also have the addon category will be affected.

Saurabh In that case, if we didn't want one addon arrangement affecting another, we should then create a new separate category, no?

For example:
Add on 1 is linked for 2 items. Arranging add on 1 will affect both the 2 items.
If I didn't want that, I would then create a new addon for item 2 so I can arrange add on 1 linked to item 1 freely.

Ragingmoomoo yes, but we will need to make everyone understand that as many are not following that Patten right now and many will not want to create all the new add-ons again and reassign them.

Not possible right not to fit this on our roadmap.
Will look into this in the future.

(Ofcourse for 1 business it is easily possible, but for a product that is already being used by 1000s of businesses, we cannot convince them to change their data overnight - so we need to come with a good plan for this)

Saurabh Sure, that's understandable. Could you just explain to me exactly how addons are sorted?
I made 2 addons, so 1 will appear first, and 2 will appear after. Makes sense.

I then made 3 "placeholders" after addon 2 in case I need to use them later. I have not attached these 3 addons to any item. I then add addon 6, 7, 8. 6, 7 and 8 appear after 2. That's fine and makes sense.

I then forget something and want an addon to appear after number 2. So logically I will go back to placeholder addon 3, and edit that into the addon I want to appear as the third addon and attached it to the item. It SHOULD then appear after addon 2, but it doesn't and instead appears at the bottom after 8. Why is that?
