As many of you have experienced issues with OneSignal in the past that sometimes they fail to respond to the APIs, and because of that the order placing process is affected. We cannot rely on a service that hampers the user experience.
So we have discontinued the OneSignal push notification for the Store Owner Dashboard.
Introducing inbuilt order push notifications for Admin, Staff members, and Store Owners.
This service do not require any setup and comes out of the box on (Free and Pro) version of the new platform
Admin and Store Owners can just log in to the dashboard and subscribe for the new order push notification.
We have also added a new permission for staff "Push Notification"
If this permission is added to any role of the staff members, they will also be able to subscribe to push notifications for new orders.
This push notification service can be subscribed to from multiple devices from the same account.
Example: Admin can log in to their PC and subscribe to push notifications. At the same time, they can also use their mobile device and subscribe to push notifications. Here, both PC and mobile will get notifications when a new order arrives.
Future implementations:
We will be adding push notifications for Admin for:
- Pending Stores Approval
- Payout requests
- 1 Star Critical Review (yes this also can be done)
The possibilities are unlimited 💪
