As you all might have face this issue at least once (or many times)
On any modern browser, the audio autoplay is disabled unless there is user interaction (click or tap)

So, on our StoreOwner Dashboard, if you reload the page and be idle (without click or tap) and you get a new order, the new order Alert Tone won't play. (Know More)

I just found there is a setting that can ensure we always get the audio autoplay even without any interaction.
(Lifesaver for many of you)

  1. On Chrome URL bar, goto: chrome://settings/content/sound
  2. In the "Allow" section click on "Add" and add your website domain.

Screenshot:

If your website is: www.mywebsite.com, add mywebsite.com over there.

This works perfectly on Chrome. (Tested)
A similar setting would work for other browsers too (Not tested)

Vmart PWA is not going to help with this issue either. Audio autoplay cannot be done on any web-based application.

Only if we move to a native application, it would be possible. And we will only go that route with we bring up a cloud-based solution for Foodomaa.
