Current state of Foodomaa and beyond...

What will happen to those who buy the APP , will still work ? even you release the new platform like Shopfiy ?

IF i buy the old Platform will the source code will be not encrypted ? once you release the new platform ? for us to update on our own as you already stated that this will be the last update 3.5 ?

Regarding with the new platform , what is the guarantee that your server can cater different location like in US , EUROPE, ASIA ?
Will be 1% cut off per Order is introductory charge it will change in the future ?

Looking forward for clarification because i'm now testing the free trial and its near to end , before i proceed to uprade it or wait to the new platform

All your apps will still work even after the new Platform is released.
The old source is the same. It will be encrypted and will have licence verification and can only be used in 1 domain.
That is upto us to how we want to expand our reach. If we are targeting multiple continents, we will have multiple server locations.
1% commission per order is what has been decided as of now. Prices are supposed to be changed in any business. Once a business is onboarded with a certain price, the prices won't change for that particular business.
Example, as soon as we launch, you registered with 1% commission plan, for you it will always be 1% even when later we changed to 1.2% (just an example)

Great to hear that, i hope in the near future you will not decide to stop the license verification for an old platform as it will stop the Website functioning properly.

For you should i wait for the new platform to release ? or buy the old platform ?

MoonBUY The already purchased license will always be active. We will never remove those. You can be assured of that.

If you are confident on your business, start your business right away.
Later if you see better opportunity on the new platform, you can always migrate.

Saurabh I dont know what to suggest right now but Im pretty sure 1% to charge on clients in South East Asia is high esp that we are trying to co-exist with big brands. For example in my case and some of clients I know, we only charge 10%.

I am not anti-SaaS, but if there is some alternatives to this 1%, I would like to hear it like a fixed price monthly subsription.

Also does the SaaS can we use our own hosting? Can we still access the source code for custom codes, design etc?

Saurabh Old clients (2020) will also be charged with 1% even with payment at delivery (without stripe paypal for example)?

Nimika 1% is the lowest price that we are offering if you compare it with anyother counter part.

Hosting is not required by the user. It is managed by us.
Source code cannot be changed. (Only custom css can be added) - later we might bring up advanced features like custom themes, plugins etc.

When r u going to roll out SaaS.. My hosting renewal is due .. if the SaaS release is nearby, I can avoid the renewal..
What about migration cost from old hosting to new SaaS for existing foodomaa customer.

Saurabh Totally understand your end. Instead of complaining Im gonna need to work around here. My profit margin is too thin.

Anyways, will you be adding local payments without extra charge like in my case [Paymongo-Gcash].

Saurabh I respect your transition to the Saas model, but the reason I chose you was because I could run your system on our own servers. I'm sure you have other customers like me. We have many reasons not to choose Saas. For example GDPR laws etc. As time progresses, version 3.5 will be insufficient and we will have to switch to different systems. Foodoma is a much more successful system than you think and we want to continue running it on our own servers with new features in the future. For customers who do not have the knowledge to manage their own server, the SaaS model is a good option. But think about your customers, like us, who are technically savvy. We made investments for infrastructure works. Very sad to learn that there will be no post 3.5 update. Consider us too. I think it would be more accurate to continue the existing system and offer optional SaaS service.

Any offer for them?
And what about their custom code like sms integration and payment gateway integration?

FezanAsif any kind of license you have the initial one time cost for new platform will be waved off.

Custom code cannot be provided. We will do the sms, payment gateway integration ourselves on the platform when it's needed by our customers.
Ofcourse everything cannot be integrated at once.

Nimika if you have already integrated it on your website and can share the codes, it will be easier for us to integrate it quickly.

ETA for the new platform is not fixed yet. Will take some time as there are many things that we are changing and building for the new platform.

Saurabh no we dont have it yet. Thing is, the Paymongo(Credit/Debit Card) is too expensive. Integrating Gcash payment under Paymongo or Paymaya is crucial for us in Philippines. I hope you will be adding this so at least clients in Philippines will have one less burden in fees.
