  • Migration Tool - Migrating data from old Foodomaa to New Platform

With the help of this tool, you will be able to migrate data to the new platform from your old Foodomaa website (3.0+)


⚠ Note

Store Items, Addons, Orders, and all data that are not present in the above list cannot be imported to the new platform as the core architecture for these entities is changed.


🚩 These data will be migrated

  • Stores (without store image)
  • Store Owners
  • Store Categories and interlinking
  • Store Payment Gateways interlinking
  • Store Payout Account Details
  • Store Schedule Data (Open/Close Time)
  • Delivery Areas (Now called Operational Areas) - (if the old domain had Delivery Area Pro module)
  • Delivery Areas and Stores Interlining
  • Customers with their Addresses and Favourite store's data
  • Delivery Guys and details (without delivery guy photo)
  • Custom Roles and Permissions
  • Staff Accounts with Permissions
  • Wallet Data
  • Wallet Transaction Data
  • Custom pages
  • Popular Geo Locations
  • Zones

🔴 Procedure

  1. Download the migration tool:

  2. Login to your old Foodomaa server and go to the File manager.

  3. Upload the zip file to the Root Directory of your server where the old Foodomaa is installed
    (mostly in public_html) and extract the zip file.

  4. In your new Foodomaa Platform goto:
    https://yourdomain.foodomaa.com/admin/import-foodomaa (if you have not linked the custom domain yet)
    https://yourdomain.com/admin/import-foodomaa (if you have already linked the custom domain)

  5. You will be able to see something like this:

  6. Click Start Import and wait for 30-60 Seconds.


🔴 IMPORTANT

Once you start the migration process, all the data in your new platform will be removed (except for settings and sliders)


⚠ VERY IMPORTANT

After the import is completed, delete this file from your Old Domain:
/app/Http/Controllers/ExportController.php


🟢 NOTE

After the import is completed, in the next login, you will need to log in with your Old Foodomaa Admin Dashboard credentials.

Oki, and what about store's items and addons?

      Can you please share, customer phone numbers data will migrate or not.

        Saurabh I completely understand. Store items is critical part, we have to spend much time again for the items. This will also disrupt business for few days.

        Saurabh I understand... I must keep all stores closed while we load all the items on the new platform and put at least two employees to work on this. I am willing to do it but please, I ask you to especially consider what I explain to you in ticket #16928

        @Saurabh i have uploaded migration tool in old server. But when am login with my custom domain it's not working. I am trying to new plat form but admin url redirecting to mail domain home page.

        I tryied but could not import anything and the stores data in the new platform was deleted.
        I get this error:

        Woopss! Something went wrong
        Well, this is embarrassing, and should not have happened.
        We have notified our engineers to look into this.

        And when tryied to access /admin/import-foodomaa, this one:
        Access Denied
        Sorry, you are not allowed to view this page or perform this action.

          Saurabh Sir, in the new platform - item bulk import - bulk import items-sample-CSV file - missing is__veg column? or after every import, do we have to set manually Veg/NonV/N for every item?

          Migration of above mentioned data is successfully done to new platform.

          Carlos I checked the error logs, looks like you manually changed the DB in the old Foodomaa. In that case migration will fail.

          We will need to make modifications to migration tool to be compatible with your changes.

          Not to all, if you have manually added new columns to the old Foodomaa database, DO NOT use the migration tool!!!

            Saurabh Yes, maybe some third party mod. If you can see wich columns / data is causing this just tell me to fix it.

            Kindly re-download the tool from the link above and follow the same process.
            (this will now ignore your custom columns in your old Foodomaa)

              Sie how to migrate items. Tell me that too. It will take a long time to collect the items again.

              Once the items are migrated, we will add the add-on automatically. Please suggest any solution.

                baljit1221 we cannot help with items and add-ons migrations as the core of the new platform has changed.

                Kindly export the items as CSV from your previous store and edit them and import in the new platform
